A Personal Note from Jean

Walking by Faith
Like the seasons of the year, the Lord moves us through seasons of life. It's a new season for me and my Christian Counseling.

2010 was an incredible year of examination into every aspect of my relationship with God and my life - what I came away from 2010 with, was that God wants to do a deeper work of what it means to walk with Him by faith. I believe He is calling all of us to that same walk.

When we begin to step out in faith, really trusting that He is Who He says He is - our lives, the church and our ministries will be radically transformed by the power of the Holy Spirit. No longer will it be "my" work that is being done, but I believe we will see the Kingdom of God advance like never before in our life times. The scripture "why do we toil and labor for what does not satisfy?" comes to mind. Why do we "store up treasures on earth where rust and moth destroy and thieves come to steal?" Why do we worry about what's going on in the world when our heavenly Father knows what we have need of and has a kingly inheritance waiting for His children and heirs in heaven?

Changes
As a result of these spiritual insights a number of changes are going on in my life and counseling practice....

First, I have moved my counseling practice to Melbourne and am working there 1 day a week, on Wednesdays. By sharing office expenses with a colleague, more resources can be put into Kingdom work. For the time being I still have limited hours in Satellite Beach on Thursdays.

Second, He's shown me to be more mindful of nurturing myself - body and soul. For years friends have asked, "How do you do what you do?" Yes, God's grace sustains us...However, we all have limits on our human resources. To be fit for service in the Lord's army we must make healthy lifestyles and abiding deeply in the Lord through His word and prayer a major priority. This takes time and prioritization....saying "no" to the distractions of the world and "yes" to God.

New Projects
The rest of my time will be focused on writing and workshops. Soon we will be announcing our newest (and at the same time oldest) online project. The Lord has a way of bringing us full circle in life. Additionally, there are also several writing projects that are ongoing: Finding Freedom in Christ, Make Your Marriage Work God's Way and more Bible studies which, Lord willing, will be available as downloadable e-books later this year.

Please pray for these things and discerning the Lord's direction in our lives.

Findng Freedom in Christ
Women's 12 week support group has begun

10 women have joined this group and are already discovering how deeply the lies of Satan have entangled them. Now His light is beginning to illuminate their understanding that freedom and God's truth are intimately intertwined. Please pray for this group of women to be transformed as we together seek the face of the Living God.
