Christian Counselor Portsmouth VAIn life situations arise that may interfere with your life’s purpose and your ability to maintain inner peace and joy.

As a professional therapist in training, it is a privilege to walk with you on your journey to discovering and renewing that peace. Therapy is a unique, personal process of maturing and healing for each individual. One of the goals of therapy is to provide a safe and encouraging place where together we can work on this process.

My therapeutic approach is eclectic and holistic: incorporating biblical principles and spiritual guidance, which vary depending on each individual client’s needs and preferences. I have training and experience working with a variety of therapeutic modalities and enjoy working with individuals and groups from a variety of backgrounds and concerns.

I have broad experience working with adolescents, women and couples struggling with a wide range of stage of life issues. With my own background as a military spouse I work with military couples and families who are dealing with the many faceted challenges of military life.

For more information call me at 757-356-5510.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Pastoral Counselor Quakertown

Mary Gerhart, MA
Pastoral/Clinical Counseling
Temperament Therapy
Quakertown, PA
215-896-1277 or maryruthg @att.net

Pastoral Counselor QuakerstownI am first and formost a servant of the Lord Jesus Christ. He has brought me to this place as a Licensed Pastoral Counselor through His Church to serve Him with each day that He allows me to do so.

I desire to show the love of Jesus to others, His forgiveness, and His hope (Jeremiah 29:11) so that they can have freedom from the bondage of this world and what Satan has told them, the lies, etc. John 15:19.

I teach the theory of Temperament Counseling which is based out of Ps 139:13-15, that God knit us together, He designed us in a way that HE chose and to give us the gifts HE chooses, to go about the work, HE has planned for us. This is very freeing when people embrace how they are made, they see the strength and the weaknesses of their temperaments and at that point they can start making changes in their behaviors and thinking processes that bring glory to God instead of thinking the way the world wants them to think.

Many of my clients deal in depression or Spiritual Warfare and just teaching them God’s Word empowers them to fight the fight against Satan. This battle is not against flesh and blood but against the dark powers of Satan.

Thank you for giving me this opportunity to share with you. Please contact me if I can be of any help to you. Until then, Keep the army of Jesus going out to all nations, sharing the truths of His gospel.
